Within the Line of Hearth

Clint Eastwood stars as Frank Horrigan, a tricky, uncompromising Secret Service agent on the verge of retirement who continues to be haunted by what he perceives as his failure to guard President John F. Kennedy in Dallas in 1963, on his first presidential task. Virtually 30 years later, one other president is operating for re-election, and knowledgeable murderer, Mitch Leary (JOHN MALKOVICH, in an Oscar®-nominated function), has begun tormenting Horrigan with threats and insider info. Although most of his colleagues belittle Horrigan’s stalker, agent Lilly Raines (RENE RUSSO) does not, and he or she quickly takes a private curiosity in Horrigan as nicely. As Leary’s threats get more and more credible and maddeningly particular, brokers Horrigan and Raines should convey all their assets to bear in a lethal cat-and-mouse sport with the lifetime of the president hanging within the steadiness.
